» Check out Pacific's New Mobile Friendly Career Web Page. Share the page with your network. It's a great way to learn about employment opportunities and to communicate the benefits of working at Pacific. (4/18/18)

» Changes to UG Student Employee Background Check Policy and Procedures - Pacific strives to offer a safe educational environment for all students, faculty, and staff in support of its educational mission. As part of the hiring process for undergraduate students Human Resources has historically required a completed criminal background check (CBC) as part of authorizing a undergraduate student to work on campus. As of 03/13/2018, undergraduate students working in standard administrative or clerical roles on Pacific's campus are no longer required to complete a CBC; unless they are working in an environment with minors or off campus. For more information, please review the updated policy and procedures linked here. Also, here is a list of things to remember when hiring students. Feel free to contact our office at 209.946.2124 (on campus x62124) if you have questions or concerns regarding this change. (3/9/18)

» HR Curtailing Staff Position Reclassification Analysis Until July 2018 - As of March 1, HR needs to shift focus to refining and implementing the new staff compensation system scheduled to be implemented July 1. We will cease our deep analysis of classification changes when incumbents are in the position. This is a typical move during a classification/compensation study. It is also a move that often happens at the beginning of the analysis work which for us, was eight months ago. We will start posting jobs under the new system in June. What does not change for you: 1) Your ability to revise job descriptions as needed for your business purposes  2) Your ability to restructure and reorganize your department or individual positions 3) HR will continue to classify new positions or vacant positions (prior to posting) under the current system until June 1. Let Linda Jeffers know if you have any questions. (2/23/18)
